AI Legal Information — Not Legal Advice. LegalBuddy is an AI-powered legal awareness tool. It is not a law firm, and it does not create a lawyer-client relationship. The information it provides is general legal guidance for educational purposes in India and may be incomplete, outdated, or inapplicable to your specific situation. Always consult a qualified, licensed lawyer for legal advice and representation.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LegalBuddy, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Nature of the Service

LegalBuddy generates responses using artificial intelligence and live web research. Responses may include citations to legal sources. Citations are checked for accessibility, and where possible the cited legal text is verified against the source; however, a successful check does not guarantee legal accuracy, and some sources may be inaccessible for verification.

The platform does not guarantee any legal outcome, including but not limited to bail, refunds, compensation, or the success of any case.

3. No Lawyer-Client Relationship

Use of LegalBuddy does not create any lawyer-client, advocate-client, or fiduciary relationship between you and LegalBuddy. Communications with the AI are not confidential legal consultations.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to use LegalBuddy only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to misuse the service, submit harmful content, circumvent usage limits, or extract data unlawfully. You are responsible for verifying any legal information before acting on it.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use LegalBuddy to plan or commit illegal acts, to harass others, or to obtain instructions for unlawful activity. Requests of this nature will be refused.

6. Intellectual Property

LegalBuddy's branding, design, and original content are the property of LegalBuddy. Retrieved legal source material remains the property of its respective publishers and is cited for reference.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LegalBuddy is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information provided by the platform. You use the service at your own risk.

8. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account data from within the Privacy & Security page. Deleting your account permanently removes your conversations, documents, consultations, and related records from our systems. Note that the underlying authentication account itself is managed by the platform's login provider.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
